Sumaria Systems Wins NETCENTS-2 NetOps Small Business Task Order for the Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) Base Area Network (BAN) FY18 Wired Recapitalization
DANVERS, Mass. - Sumaria Systems, Inc., a leading provider of information technology, engineering, and professional services, has won the NETCENTS-2 NetOps Small Business Task Order for the Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) Base Area Network (BAN) FY18 Wired Recapitalization.
The BITI program will recapitalize the critical nodes located in the Critical Base Area Network (BAN) at more than 30+ United States Air Force (USAF) bases.
Work includes project management, document creation, risk management, site surveys and integration planning, installation and upgrade, system testing and verification, system cutover, system training, configuration and data management, warranty and maintenance support, on-site support, asset management, technical order development, and cybersecurity Assessment & Authorization (A&A&41; per the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.

"As with BITI BAN FY16, we will be working very closely with the Government and each base to ensure accurate site surveys, integration and installation plan development, and appropriate cybersecurity per RMF requirements for each USAF location."
The BITI BAN Recapitalization effort consists of upgrading the Critical BAN by installing all required core nodes (CNs), critical distribution nodes (CDNs), and critical access nodes (CANs) with new nodes, as well as upgrading the infrastructure within the communication equipment locations (CELs) that support these nodes. Each base varies in both the number of network nodes and the mix of nodes types.
The Sumaria NETCENTS-2 SB contract is managed by the company’s Corporate Headquarters in Danvers, Mass.
